Renault "Update List" headunit query

Hi all,

Does anyone here know who makes the OEM headunit in 2005 Renault Megane with the words "Update List" printed on the front?

Is it a VDO like the Tuner List headunit?

Thanks for any help.

Yes it is, but if you're planning to ask VDO for information don't be to surprised if they say 'never heard of it'. At least, thats what they told me. But if you have an 'Update List' then you're lucky, direct AUX input available, see this post.

That's excellent news! Thank you.

Unfortunately, adaptershop is in german, and I can't find a picture of the right plug.

Do you know of other sites that sell mini-iso connectors? A quick google did not reveal much.

Look at http://www.conrad.com and search for MINI ISO, it seems that adaptershop only sells the blue MINI ISO connector, sorry for that, I'll have to change my document again.

From adaptershop, the green connector is currently only available as a bundle here, but at 8.99 EUR + S/H, it isn't probably a bargain...

What parts to I need to order?

Hi

I've understood that I need a green mini ISO connector to build my own aux input interface for my Update list stereo. I have found them on www.conrad.com with the reference 378652. But what I don't know is the other parts that I need. Could someone help me with them? Maybe the references on conrad.com.

I've found this on the same site (378292 - 62). It's an adapter but for a blaupunkt. Is it a good idea to buy it and change the mini iso connector to the green one?

Thanx

/Erik

update list or tuner list

i have a cassette player with steering wheel remote controls, with TUNER LIST on it.
Can I use the renault CD player unit , with UPDATE LIST written on it instead? Will my steering wheel controls work with this unit?
